Josh has been a featured speaker and workshop leader on the topics of film and communications about energy, the environment, and climate. He has presented at museums and universities across the United States, including Columbia University, the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, the National Academy of Sciences’ Koshland Museum, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, the CUNY Graduate School, and Politics & Prose Bookstore.

  • “The History of Climate Science Through Film”: Using an extensive collection of archival films collected for ClimateScience.tv, Josh traces the popular and scientific perception of climate science from World War II through today.
  • “Video for Scientists”: Josh works with scientists to shoot video in the field for documentation, outreach, and media needs.
  • “Communicating Climate Science”: Josh has lectured many times on the challenges of using visual mediums to communicate the complex issues related to climate science.
